Butterscotch Honors Friendship and Resilience in New Single, “With Grace”

Butterscotch Honors Friendship and Resilience in New Single, “With Grace”

    November 25, 2024

There’s a profound heaviness yet unmistakable lightness in Butterscotch’s latest release, “With Grace.” More than just a song, the track is a tribute, an emotional offering in memory of her best friend and longtime collaborator, Rasar. Butterscotch penned and produced the track, pulling in Jason Corpuz on piano, Claus Fischer on bass, and Jim Greer on guitar to round out its delicate, polished sound.

The dual nature of “With Grace” is what makes it stand out. Grief anchors the song, but there’s a soft pull of hope that gently shifts the tone toward healing. A planned lyric video for “With Grace,” set to premiere soon, promises to deepen the connection between the listener and the song’s poignant message.

This sobering piece is also slated to be a part of a bigger story, which she plans to expand on with the December release of “Let Go,” a track focusing on the strength found in release and acceptance. But for now, “With Grace” feels like an open letter, shared with a grace that is as much for herself as it is for those who listen.
