DJ Premier & Roc Marciano Turn Boom-Bap into Luxury Rap on “Armani Section”

DJ Premier and Roc Marciano just hit the button on something that sounds like it came wrapped in silk and stamped with a wax seal. “Armani Section” isn’t about nostalgia—it’s a live auction where the price keeps rising, and Marciano is the man with the winning bid. Preemo digs into the archives, stitching together vocals from Lil’ Kim, Nas, and Slick Rick like a tailor cutting up couture. Before this, the closest they got was Roc’s feature on “Respect My Gun” on the PRhyme 2 album from Premier‘s collabo album with Royce da 5’9″. This cut marks their first official link-up.
