Honey Bxby comes into “Shame“ already holding the last word. “Shame” flips that Wu-rooted pull into something smoother and meaner, with the sample carrying the memory and the 808s putting steel under it. That is the move. The beat carries real feeling, but it still talks reckless. Honey plants “Shame on a nigga for thinking he could play me / Shame on a nigga for thinking that he made me” right in the middle of the track and says it with full conviction, like the paperwork already got filed and stamped.
The feature lineup is what makes the record hit harder. Queen Naija brings the bruised side of it, still clear on what she gave and exactly where things turned.
